Speaking of Tabs...

matildaMak (mmmaak), from the Acoustic Guitar Forum, has done an excellent transcription of Larry Pattis' arrangement of Waltzing Matilda. He's packaged it up in a professional looking PDF file, complete with information about the song, transcription and performance notes and a really nice legend/key for tablature. It's one of the nicest looking tabs that I've seen and has been released with Larry Pattis' permission. I hesitate to even call it a "tab" - it's a piece of art!

You can find the transcription in the "My Transcription - Waltzing Matilda by Larry Pattis" thread on the Acoustic Guitar Forum. Mak has posted a recording of himself playing the tune and there are even some posts by Larry Pattis himself in the thread!

Go check it out!

kishibe-tabI've noticed that a lot of people are arriving here after searching Google and other search engines for Masaaki Kishibe Guitar Tabs. Well, there are no tabs here! None! Zip! Ziltch! But... I do know where to get them. Legally, I might add!

You can purchase all of Masaaki Kishibe's CDs, Song Books (each tab is quite accurate) and DVDs from Pooh Yokocho, Inc. at the following web address:

http://www.h2.dion.ne.jp/~slice/pooh/kishibeenglish.htm

Use the flashing email button at the bottom to make contact and let them know that you're interested in purchasing some music. They'll respond quickly and they're multi-lingual, so don't worry about the language barrier. They can ship just about anywhere and they have a PayPal account.

Yes, it's rather costly to buy the music in Japan and have it shipped internationally, but it's worth it to me since Masaaki Kishibe's music just isn't readily available anywhere else. Hopefully it'll be worth it to you,
